Farmers since 1916

Cantina Messori lives and operates between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena, an area where Lambrusco and Pignoletto wines represent a centuries-old tradition. Located in Correggio (RE), Cantina Messori produces high-quality products by cultivating vineyards and land  that the family has owned for decades.

The winery was founded over a century ago, in 1916, when Abbondio Messori purchased a property in the heart of Emilia Romagna, in Correggio, in the province of Reggio Emilia. Since then Zeffirino, Ruggero, Luca, and now Elena, have overseen and implemented the agricultural production. Starting with traditional agriculture, the company has evolved over time and now works with mechanized and cutting-edge tools.

The goal has always been to reduce waste, respect the environment, and obtain the best quality of grapes in order to have a minimum impact on the processing of the grapes in the cellar. Innovation in agronomic techniques blends with the tradition of cultivation; Cantina Messori works only with native grape varieties: Ancellotta, Pignoletto, and varieties of Lambrusco.
